I was wondering if someone could tell me the name of the songs used in this movie, i just watched it, and i actually really liked it, the dubbing isnt the best, but i can overlook that. so if anyone knows the name of the songs, i would be really greatful if you could tell me the names of them, expessialy the one in the begining, during the car chase scene, please and thank you!!!!
shareThe one in the beginning is 'Speedway', two of the three songs with lyrics are 'Guns & People' and 'It's only Mystery', all of them by Bessons ususal composer Eric Serra who actually did the whole score. Actually a single song is not found on the soundtrack and might not be by Serra; I'm thinking of the song they hear on the ghettoblaster with lyrics being something like "He's a lucky guy". As for the rest of the score, you SHOULD be able to find the soundtrack somewhere, I own the record but the movie has such a great following that it should be out on cd ... Good luck!

Being now 40 years old, when this came out in 1985 I was 18. At the time, I bought the soundtrack on vinyl as well as Ricky Lee Jones' "Pirates" LP. I recorded that one song to tape, as well as the rest of the sountrack and listened to it only on tape. So I have both LP records in pristine condition, 22 years later, both of them played only once for recording to tape.
The soundtrack has some good stuff on it, if you like the movie. I havent listened to any of the Ricky Lee Jones LP apart from the one song "He's a lucky guy".
And thats my story from the good old days, kids. :)
'it´s only mystery´ is one of my favourite songs ever since I first watched this movie, and that´s been only about ten years ago, and ever since I´ve been trying to figure out by who it was interpreted...
I hope I´ll find it!
