Wish we could have seen the director's cut - SPOILERS

The original film did not have the daughter at all and it ended after Stick allowed Moke to fall to his death. The Candace Bergen character was there in the original scene. She is crying and tells Burt, "I was right. I am not ready for you." She leaves and the credits with Burt on the balcony. The studio forced reshoots, adding the daughter and her being kidnapped by Nestor. As much as I enjoyed this film, I believe Burt's original cut would have been better. I doubt, however, we will ever get a director's cut since even the theatrical version was only released Manufactured on Demand on DVD.
