last time 3-D was shown on the big screen in the 80's
starchasher was the very last 3-d movie ever shown in the 80's. 3-D wouldnt make another appearance on film until 1991's freddys dead. which was cheap generic 3-d.
shareI was lucky enough to see this in theaters! There was a bunch of 3D movies throughout the 80's, didn't realize this was the last hurrah for polarized 3D until now.
I remember being really surprised when I saw that 90's/early 2000's 3D movies had gone back to the vastly inferior anaglyph (red and blue)type. Soooooo glad that polarized has made a comeback with the current trend, it just plain WORKS (anaglyph only ever seems to work if there isn't too much motion - best suited to 3D comics and the like).
