Me too! I can't believe I found it! I had to go trhough wikipedias list of 0s animted films. All I could remember was some invisible sword, and it being kinda scary. At first, I was typing in invisible sword into google, didnt get anywhere.

i rediscovered it today too...after i remembered watching it more than ten years ago... i remember only a few things so i couldn't find through keywords so i checked all the major cartoons of the 80s...took me a while but here i am!!
the part i remember more vividly is the part with blood sucking creatures when he almost reaches the surface in the beginning...

I remember watching this movie almost 20 years ago when I was a little kid. The only thing I could remember was that it featured a bladeless sword; I typed in Google "animated movie about a sword with no blade" and fortunately information about Starchaser was the first thing to pop up.

My father recorded this and showed it to me when I was a kid. I put it at the top of my list of DVDs for Blockbuster Online to send me; watching it again is going to bring back some old memories.

I was looking for this movie for years too. Saw it as a litle kid in the 80's and was an instant favorite. Didint remember the name just had a feeling that it was Orion or something like that but couldn't find it. While randomly browsing wikipedia stumbled on it and then all the memories comed back!

Starchaser was on my "to find" list too, found it year or so ago. I've pretty much found all cartoons and I've left couple of movies and one song to find.
