Fantasmagoria Magazine??

Okay, here's my problem, I'm looking for a magazine that I bought way back in 1985, I believe. I don't recall if it covered other movies, but I bought it solely because of its TWISTED SOULS (aka SPOOKIES) coverage, and the cool pictures they had inside of the Spider Woman from that flick. All the pictures were black and white, I think. At least, the Spider Woman pics were. I emailed the director many years ago, asking her this very question, and the title that popped into her mind was FANTASMAGORIA, spelled just like that. I need to know if anyone can help me find this magazine, and if it was indeed called FANTASMAGORIA.

I believe you're looking for 'Fangoria' magazine...America's Horror Magazine.

We would wait patiently by the mailbox, as the ghoulish little children we were, in the 1980's for the latest edition of Fangoria to arrive.

Ahhh, I miss those days.

reply

Nope, it's not Fangoria. I was buying Fangoria the same time I saw this "other Magazine." And, I can definitely say it's not Fang. I've got someone looking into this matter as I post this.

It was a small publishing house...I'll get the name of it. The article is on Twisted Souls (NOT Spookies); and was done during the production of said film in 1984. The directors were Thomas Doran and Brendan Faulkner, and I bet you didn't speak with either of them.

reply

No, I spoke with this woman who came in afterwards, her name escapes me, and it's right on this site, too. Ah, Genie Joseph, that's it. Everything I know about this mysterious mag is from her. I know it's on TWISTED SOULS, it's one of the few memories I have of the mag. But, what I need to desperately know is what the magazine was called, was it FANTASMAGORIA? The issue the TWISTED SOULS article was in, and where I can get a copy, if one is still available.

This would be very good if you can help. I've been trying to track this damn thing down for years. Give me every piece of info you have. It's those Spider-Woman pics I'm after.
