Had a hard time w/the TV version

Silver Bullet aired on AMC recently. Honestly had a hard time watching because of all the cuts that were made. Since I know the movie line for line by now (seen it at least 20 times or more), I kept asking myself "why cut that line/scene out?"

These days many shows on basic cable have much more gratuitous and raunchier scenes/dialogue than a movie that was rated "R" in the 80's. By today's standards, Silver Bullet would probably get a PG-13. Since it's running time is only around 90 mins, they easily could have left it intact with plenty of space for commercials. No need to cut it down for time or material IMO.

I haven't seen the unedited version in awhile! It's on TV so much during this time of the year that I haven't bothered to get the DVD. I may need to.

The scene I missed the most was the unedited scene of Reverend Lowe confronting Marty near the river. Hearing Lowe call Marty a "little s**t" and then tell him he's going to have an accident falling in the river makes me laugh every time.
