It's considered the definitive documentary on the Holocaust, length notwithstanding. Some say it's the greatest documentary ever made. It took 6 years of filming and 5 years of editing down from 350 hours. True, it's not easy to sit through 9 1/2 hours. But for historians and others interested it's worth it.
