I like the begining of the movie with the female supremacy part where women rule that part of the would.

I like how the people were acting as if they were sturggling and one guy was getting all into it.

The women are unusually dominant, active, and courageous, far more so than in your average entry in this genre. By comparison the men are more passive and mercenary.

If you watch the rest of the sequence, I think She picked him to be sacrificed. It is a very odd scence that makes you wonder what the backstory is. She does the same thing in a later scene. Both times, other soldiers come and pull knives on the males that She selects.

Since She was a woman ruler she could pick any male to be sacrificed or slavery punished. She was a god to those women and men.

One of the neat things about the movie is that each of the hamlets the characters pass through has its own local deity.
