My guess is that he read the script, turned his nose up at it and demanded people who could write better!

*ahem*

Please pardon our previous poster.

Though Calloway was a talented performer, he did have some problems on the side as some have attested to. According to the book 'Street Gang,' there were times he'd show up to work and not be prepared, and due to substance abuse, some days he just couldn't say his lines properly.

Eventually, due to this and other problems outside the workplace, he was let go. I too remembered him from long ago,and my memories of him on Sesame Street were always of a happy-go-lucky guy that you'd want to meet on the street. Pity his real life wasn't as rosy as on the Street.

On Muppet Wikipedia, Sid Sleaze is considered to be the most vulnerable, trust-worthy and childlike out of the two!

Sid main role at the Fun Fair is to act as the carnival barker.

Do you think that Sam could have spent longer in prison than Sid?

Is it possible that Sid might have been let out early for good behaviour?

What happened if Sid got bullied in prison? Would Sam have stood up for his younger brother?

Why couldn't Sam have gone to jail, when he was the only one who stole the little boy's apple?
