What if things had gone this way

I've had this idea in mind for quite a while, but only now did I take the time bring it up here. Notice how when Sam and Sid are taking Big Bird into their carvival tent in the truck, we see Miss Finch's car driving past? To me it seemed like sheer dumb luck that she didn't notice Big Bird from where she was. Obviously, she was focusing on the road. So that got me to thinking: what if she HAD seen him and tried to interveen?

Let's just say this had happened in the movie instead of what really did. So Miss Finch notices Big Bird being kidnapped and drives into the Fun Fair. She confronts the Sleaze Brothers and demands that they release him. They pretend to obey but instead they lure her into the cage along with Big Bird and trap her as well. Now the two of them are prisoners together and have a little chat. Miss Finch tells Big Bird how ashamed she is at him and that he's very ungrateful for running away. And then he finally works up the guts to speak to her from his heart and tells her that Sesame Street truly is where he belongs and is able to make her see how true it is. She realizes how much Big Bird loved his original home. Having cleared all that up, Miss Finch and Big Bird now have to work together to break free of their cage.

I was interested in bringing this idea up because something a lot of people fail to understand about Miss Finch is that despite her being one of the film's antagonists, she is not actually an evil bird. Remember, she is a member of the Feathered Friends, whose purpose is find families for homeless birds, which is definitely a good thing. He main flaw was that she was a little bit overly determined. I guess she was worried about her reputation and how it would be affected if she ended up not being able to convince a bird to move in with a family. So that's my idea for what could have happened. It wouldn't necessarily have been better than the film's final result (there probably wouldn't have been nearly as much action), but it's still fun to think about. What do others think?

Sounds Good to Me.

Thanks. And like I said, it wouldn't necessarily have been better than what ended up happening. You've got to admit, the climactic chase was certainly rather rivetting. I just think it also would have been neat for Big Bird to give Miss Finch a bit of a talking to. In their first scene together, his brief arguments were rather timid, just saying "they're nice people" and all that. If they had both been locked up together, Big Bird probably would have finally worked up the guts to speak to her from his heart.

I think the original still gave Ms Finch the eye opening moment concerning Seaseme Street. She learned her lesson. Now imagine that same scene with Donald Trump.
