shareKen Kwapis is one of those directors like Bob Clark, who's career never took off due to critically panned flops.
If you don't know who I am talking about, Bob Clark was the man directed Porky's (1981), A Christmas Story (1983), and these two *beep* Baby Geniuses (1999) and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (2004). The latter killed his career hard.
I've often wondered what would have occured if John Landis directed this film instead of Ken Kwapis.
shareWell first of all, we're talking about John Landis: the man behind Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and An American Werewolf In London. I think Landis would've loved to direct this movie, but he was busy working on the comedy-thriller Into The Night starring Jeff Goldblum. He was also probably on trial because of what happened on Twilight Zone: The Movie. If Landis did direct this movie, it probably would've done better. But it just didn't happen.
