There's something about this movie..

Rocky IV was the first one I saw in the theater and it was electric then just as it is now..it moves at a good pace and I love the soundtrack to this film, so many winners: Burning Heart by Survivor, No Easy way out by Robert Tepper, Living in America by the legend James Brown and all his glory, USA vs Russia that whole rivalry like it had been in the olympics up to that point.. Rocky and Apollo, everything seemed to come together in this movie.

One thing I remember in the theater was that soundtrack-it rocked like nobody's business but listening to it on my flat screen tv it somehow sounds more muted than I remember. In particular Living in America. Does anyone else think it doesn't sound right? Other than that IV is great!

Worst Rocky out of the bunch, even worse that V, and that’s saying something

Okay, Comrade...

reply

Disagree. V was much worse.

I actually like V more than every sequels except Rocky Balboa. It wasn't a perfect movie but at least it tried to bring back this dramatic feeling that surronded the first movie.

Rocky's flashback of Mick in the gym is better than anything in Rocky IV.

The best Rocky movie out there and the best soundtrack!

The audio technology on your fiat panel sucks rump. There’s no room for a real sound system. Add a outboard audio system.

Is that the first time you've noticed a difference between the sound in a movie theater and the sound coming out of your TV speakers? Movie theaters have big speakers driven by lots of power (hundreds, if not thousands of watts), and your TV has one or two tiny speakers driven by a couple/few watts at best.

In the theatre 4 was awesome!

I've always liked Rocky IV, but was particularly obsessed with it when I was a teenager in the late 90s/early 00s.;

i think this movie is terrible. the first three are great.

This was the first Rocky film that I've seen, I didn't watch the first Rocky film until my early 20's.

Rocky IV had the best music, best training montages, and more action than all of the other Rocky films. It took advantage of what was popular in the 80's with the Cold War, action film craze,and it was excellent. Sylvester Stallone doesn't get enough credit as a filmmaker for that.
