Alternate Ending Hidden In The Music Video

So, if you have seen this movie, you know that at the end the Professor dies. In the music video, at the end of the song there is a scene of the Professor in bed, waking up from a nightmare in a sweaty, agitated state. He looks around and then stares at the ring on his finger and looks very upset. It seems clear that this is an alternate ending to this very well done, shot on video horror movie. I actually wish they would have gone with this ending, as I grew to like the Professor and his flat-chested, jazzercise girlfriend throughout the movie.
