shareI think the film has been deleted and so is, and will remain, unavailable. Your best chance of getting a copy is from ebay where i've seen them going for around $30. Good luck.

There was a guy on ebay selling copied DVD's. Other than that its not available an will cost quite a bit for an original. My friend got one of the copied ones an the quality is pretty good

Me and a friend were talking about this film the other week , havent seen it for years . Decided to try and get a copy on the net , didnt realise it was so hard to come by.

The quality is excellent if i do say so myself, especially as i've had the vid for a number of years and its looking a bit worn now, but i'm keeping a copy for myself anyway. The response is amazing so far...

I've not been checking back on this for some time, i got the jitters copying the film and just by luck i saw it advertised via a link in an email at bensons world.

I got a copy from Ebay for £5. Someone clever had the idea of burning the VHS onto DVD. I love them for it. :)

I just got this on DVD from Amazon. Very good quality - the countryside looks great. In fact if it wasn't for the old fashioned police cars and clothes, you wouldn't know it was the 80s at all!
Hey mates, I'm from Canada eh? I love this film. I did videotape it myself off a pay-tv network years ago when the film was newer so I still have my beloved grainy copy. I would love to buy the DVD, but alas the British DVDs aren't compatable with my DVD player in canada. I could probably buy a DVD from the UK and it won't work for me. To my knowledge the film was never comercially sold in North America. Any suggestions. Somebody help me! I hold up busses.
shareI got a video off of eBay with the NTSC standard. It may be a copy, but all the stuff points to a direct-to-rental (like the movie "Electric Dreams"). You have a couple of options with your DVDs. Some DVD players can be hacked to work with other regions. The other option is to get a portable multi-region DVD player. They're about $300, but can handle all regions, plus convert PAL to NTSC and vice versa.
We saw this in London on our honeymoon back in the 80s and finally saw it again last night. This little gem should be seen more often.

Can get pretty much everywhere now. I have been waiting for years to see this on TV again, as the last time was when it was out and I taped on Betamax, but lost it.
Obviously don't care about it being on TV now, but this film should be watched by everyone, it is a little gem having great comedy (plenty of one-liners), beautiful scenery and an astunding soundtrack. Pity the 2 lads never had a big break from this, I thought they were great. Possibly their accents didn't help.
