The Fool's sexuality.


Did anyone else find him to be strangely ambiguous. I don't mean to suggest he was a sexual servant. But in a way he was not quite male or female. I know it was common throughout history to have men play women but know nothing of Japanese history in this regard.

Yeah, I enjoyed his/her androgynous nature; one of the best comic relief characters in film.

Yes, great character. The fool as archetype is so strong and in this instance a great character in a great movie. When he taunts the new lord I was sure his ticket would get punched.
