How The Expendables was teased back in '85

I'm sure everyone remembers what a great year 1985 was, and all the great Stallone films we'd gotten so far. And I'm sure you also know the line in this particular movie in which Rambo calls himself expendable. Then two years later Schwarzenegger does the same in Predator. I'm rewatching all the Willis and Norris films when I get the chance just to see if I can spot another use of the word. I know it was all coincidence, but dang thats some foreshadowing. It was like they knew what would come all along.

I thought the same thing. I wonder if Sly got the idea for The Expendables here.
It's not just a line cassually dropped. There's a monologue about being expendable.

Thanks for refreshing my memory, I hadn't seen it in a while. The fact that it's a monologue and not just a line would definitely raise the likelihood that Stallone took the title for 'The Expendables' franchise directly from here.
