Has anyone else seen a similar film where a bunch of teenagers survive another wipeout of the human race? It think they survive because they sleep over in some lead-lined projection room in a cinema after making out or something. I think it might have been a low budget TV movie but can't remember the name... anyone?

"Where have all the people gone" (1974) is also a similar movie to this in many ways. Just in that movie a strange solar phenomenon kills the large majority of human beings. Dogs go crazy, etc. But the basic premise of "everybody suddenly disappearing" is the same.
