Spoilers Opinion on theme song during film

I am watching Pray for Death on hulu and I thought that the theme song somewhat ruins the build up for this movie. Akira's (sp?) anger slowly grows and he finally decides to use his ninja skills again, but while forging his sword the song sounds like some happy Disney tune. I took into account this is a mid 80's movie, but still!

Agreed, this song bites and was used gratuitously throughout the film.

I thought the song waas fine. It sort of reminds me of a Sheena Easton "Bond" theme or something.

Good point, but it is a bad, bad, lame copy of a song that was already borderline cheezoid. When was the last time a radio programmer or anyone else played that song, or anything else by Sheena Easton?
