Because Porky's Revenge basically took a dump on the characters he created.

Maybe he thought he did all he could with the first two. He also was directing other films at the time, like Turk 182! and Rhinestone.

Being busy can affect what he wanted to do with Porky's Revenge. That is more than likely why it did not do very well due to Mr. Clark not able to work on the final Porky's movie.

Makes you kinda wonder, if Bob Clark had directed the 3rd PORKY's, and possibly reunited the entire original cast, would the story and plot have been better? Not sure if Chuck Mitchell's character 'Porky's' would've been included in Clark's film and perhaps Wendy & Pee-Wee might've stayed together.

Yes it does make you wonder about that, if Bob Clark would have directed the third and final Porky's if it would have been better or not. It would have been great to see the whole cast in the third and final installment of this classic film. I am sure that the story and plot would have been better if he had done it. That would have been great to see Wendy and Pee Wee stay together.

It doesn't make me wonder. Being a director is just that, not a writer.

That is true.

Bob was involved with Porky's Revenge, folks. He just took the silent partner approach. He was an uncredited executive producer and did script doctoring on the final shooting draft. The reason he kept his head down can be compared to a couple other folks in other series. Think Frank Mancuso w/ Friday the 13th, Cheech Marin w/ Cheech and Chong, James Wan and Leigh Whanell on the Saw films, ect.

You have to understand Clark got his magic bullet with A Christmas Story and was trying to distance himself from the series to a degree. It was his idea to tone down the 3rd film. Before he died he was also actually thinking of either a fourth film or a remake before he passed.

Why are you wearing that stupid man-suit?

reply

The tone was maybe dialed back a little, but there's actually a lot more female nudity than the second one.
