Tim and Micky

Does anyone know why Tim Cavanaugh and Micky did not return for the 3rd one?

reply

I have been wondering that myself.

They didn't return for the 3rd film becuase James Komack felt that those characters were never really deveopled after the first one. He decided it was pointless using a large cast like the 1st and 2nd film did.

It's kind of funny how the Porky's series mirrors the American Pie series. By the third one, they're super fast paced, and half of the original characters are cut. But Porky's Revenge is such a sentimental favorite, I don't mind.

Yeah, the original Porky's is better than all the Pie movies, but I still like them.

PIE 3 WAS LAME. STIFFLER SHOULD HAVE HIS OWN MOVIE. I SAW THE RUNDOWN AND ALL I SEE IS STIFFLER, HE'S RUINED, LIKE PEEWEE EVER GETTING ANOTHER ROLE.

does this one show sex, or nudity

reply

Yes, to that last question and comment ...and yes, there was also more nudity than there was in Prt. 2.
But back to the original topic ... I always figured that the reason some of the original cast 'Tim & Micky,' and supporting cast 'Steve & Frank' didn't return (featured or their characters not even mentioned) was because of budget cut reasons, or a smaller budget. Both the Porky's and Porky's II kinda make up a long story (3-hr film), and appear to feature the same cast. But by the time BOB CLARK left the franchise, and producers & studio carried on ... the series was loosing steam, and they only reunited the core cast. I guess you could say they wrote off the supporting cast, maybe they all moved away, one by one.

That is why I do not like sequels because when they do that they get rid of main characters that really helped make the movie you know. They should have kept the whole cast together I feel. It really helps out in the movie and plus it is better that way.

I agree. When I watched the 3rd one, it felt like some people where missing. Now you have a smaller group of friends and they did everything. Unlike in the 2nd one when some of the group helped PeeWee and some were spying on them to see what they were going to do. I will not even watch the 3rd one. The whole feel of the movie is not the same as it was in the first two.

reply

Yes I felt as if there were some people missing like you said. I love all of the Porky's movies because they do not make films like this anymore today. It would be known as not being "Politically Correct!" That has screwed up a lot of things because people are too touchy feely anymore today. The first two movies are classics in my opinions! That is what I loved about them.

Komack was sooooooo wrong. Mickey was brothers with Ted Jarvis the sheriff and Mickey was the reason for finally getting Porkys in the end!! Porky would have his main revenge on the Jarvis Bros.

and Timmy race relations were well documented in the first movie, but to see how his relationship with his dad had progressed was also important.

What a moron. Tim and Mickey were the best.

reply

Yeah, I always wondered that myself. Maybe the actors weren't interested in returning so they were written out of the third one. Also, the late Bob Clark wasn't involved in this either.
