I hate remakes but if they ever did do one for this...

they must get Jim Parsons to play Pee Wee, it's spooky how much he and Paul look alike lol.

If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?

I agree on both counts -- hating remakes and Parson's resemblance.
I think that if they do another Pee Wee movie they could cast Christopher Mintz-Plasse ( 'Mclovin' from "Superbad" ) as Pee Wee Junior or as Pee Wee himself in a flashback.

Repetition is funny. Why ? Because repetition is funny.

That's the show and the character, though. Jim Parsons, however, couldn't be more perfect, at least physically, to play Paul Reubens.

A remake of PWBA aside, if they ever did a biopic film about Paul, Jim's the best choice. Don't really know why they would make a biopic on him but there you go lol.

I saw this movie when it came out in 1985 and I just watched it today after not seeing it for several years and it is still great. It looks good, the jokes and sight gags hold up wonderfully and the character is still an original. No one would have the gall to say: let's remake "Modern Times" or "City Lights", etc. because Charlie Chaplin created The Little Tramp and with the exception of Robert Downey jr. portraying the character in several scenes in "Chaplin", no one in their right mind would, or should dare to try to fill his shoes. If Paul Reubens and Phil Hartman had been able to collaborate on another Pee Wee movie, or several, the character could have been almost as well-loved as Chaplin's little tramp but it wasn't to be. Mr. Reubens must still own the rights to Pee Wee and I hope if another film is made that he will play him but if it does not happen I hope he sees that no one else does, unless it is with his blessing.

There are some characters that should be played by only one person. Paul Reubens is the only Pee-Wee; just the same as Milla Jovovich should be the only one to play Project Alice; Cassandra Peterson should be the only Elvira; Mike Meyers should be the only Wayne Cambel and Shrek voice; Eddie Murphy should be the only Sherman Klump. There are just some character roles you don't give to another person because the one who plays it all along is the only one who knows that character well enough to be that character.

I would of said that Jackie Gleason is the only Ralph Kramden, but I rethought about it, and thought that John Goodman would of been a better choice for a modern-day Ralph Kramden instead of Cetric The Entertainer and Mike Epps as Ed Norton. Look what happened to "The Honeymooners" when they did that. John Goodman is the only post-Gleason for Kramden.

Lastly, no Pee-Wee remakes. Can't some things that were great and memorable from the good old 1980s just be left alone?
