I did. I went with my older cousin. We tried to go see Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, but it was rated PG-13 and since my cousin wasn't my parent the person selling the tickets wouldn't let us in. So we were at the theatre anyways we saw Pee-Wee.

My brother and I went to see it at the theater, and it was glorious! The crowd hollered with joy when the title came up, and really got into it - when he angrily stalked up to Francis's house people yelled "GET'im, Pee-wee!"...sounds like it should have been annoying but it was perfect.

Not me, I didn't get to see it until when it came on HBO back in 1987, it instantly became one of my favorite movies.

I did. I was 19, saw it at the 2nd run $1 theater with my girlfriend. I never laughed so hard through a movie in my life. I suppose it was my age, intelligence (or lack of), and maturity level meeting the perfect movie. I saw it again a few years back, it's still cute, but never the same effect as that night. A large bucket of buttered popcorn was $2.50 w/ $1 refills, candy was 75 cents for a big box, and large drink was a $1.25 w/ 50 cent refills . . . good times.

I wasn’t born when this film initially came out. I saw it during the late 90s / early 00s; when it showed on the Disney channel

Yes. We used to quote many lines from the movie in college. Like if we were on the land-line phone and someone was being loud, we'd yell "I'm tryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyying to use the phonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne!"
