Finally: BRILLIANT DVD-RELEASE!

A lot of Norwegian movie fans looked forward to the release of "Orions belte" on DVD a couple of years ago but the result was absolutely terrible! A disgrace to the movie and to it's fans, the distributor should have been flogged in public for that version.

Anyways, the poor release of this and other Norwegian movies at the time, created an uproar in the Norwegian DVD-community (even leading film critics wrote harsh comments in the media about these poor DVD's), so now the distributor seem to redeem themselves with a mother of a release.

Listen to the details of the "Orions belte Special Edition," which will be released on SEPTEMBER 21st this year (2005):

It is worth noting that sadly, some of the leading people involved in creating this movie has passed away. Director Ola Solum died a few years ago, it's editor Bjørn Breigutu - who was a true veteran in the Norwegian film industry and did excellent work on this movie - passed away last year, and the third (and youngest) co-star Hans Ola Sørlie was tragically killed at the age of 35 together with his father, when their Volvo did a head-on collision with a truck. I'm sure if these three key players were still around they would have added to this release which still looks to be one of the best DVD-releases of a Norwegian film EVER.

After getting the new dvd and seeing it for the umpteenth time, I can only say again: Truly excellent movie...and yes - probably the best Norwegian movie ever. One of those movies I can watch again and again and again.
"Åhhh helvete!"...
