Language?
According to IMDb, it is German. I’ve seen the film twice and it was Hungarian. I believe they are wrong here.
The actors are Hungarian, with few exceptions. Klaus-Maria Brandauer must have been dubbed, unless he speaks Hungarian.
Perhaps you saw a dubbed version.
The version I saw was in German. And the main characters are played by German/Austrian actors: Brandauer, Blech, Mueller-Stahl, Niklas, Landgrebe.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
