Musical joke in the film

The quote is not exact, but at the end of one scene at the cadet school, a superior tells the young Redl "You're a good peasant boy." This immediately cuts to a scene with young Redl playing the piano and the piece he is playing is Robert Schumann's "The Happy Peasant" ( in the U.S. known as "The Happy Farmer".
