Great coming of age horror story

Despite breaking many of the rules established in the first film (including the main one: only kill while the victim is asleep), 2 is one of my favorites in the series. To me, it has a lot to do with the closeted Jesse. Some of my favorite horror movies (It Follows, Let the Right One In...) are also great coming of age flicks.
