Top 10 Things I Love About A Nightmare on Elm Street 2:Freddy's Revenge
Continuing off from the 1984 original IMDb forum here I'm after a long distance with 10 things I love about ANOES 2.
1:)The overall creepiness of the film.
"I would argue that this entry is not only a more frightening package than the original but more than the other installments the scariest Elm Street yet"
2:)Keeping the overall look and feel of the original.
"This film just like other great part 2's like Friday the 13th Part II & Halloween II(81) does a great job at feeling and looking like the original from the houses,the suburbs, & the dream sequences"
3:)Taking Freddy in to another direction.
"Although I like Halloween II(81) as a overall film better than this one and with Friday the 13th Part II being too much of a clone of the original and being a lesser film than the original this entry but as a overall mind you but as a sequel beats both Friday's and Halloween's 2nd sequel to follow up my 2nd reason.Elm Street 2 kept the look and feel yes but it added more by Freddy wanting to process Jesse and make him do his biding for him of which is taking the dream concept a whole new level"
4:)Grady
"Robert Russler from Weird Science and Vamp provides my favorite character of the whole franchise in this film Grady is such a likable jokester and despite being douchey here and their you could tell he cares for his friend Jesse"
5:)The Pool Party Massacre
"That one scene grounded this franchise and the character of Freddy Kreuger as the best in the horror field because most killers in films kill in a very isolated fashion but not Freddy he does it in the loud and clear"
6:)Glu Gulanger
"This isn't like Grady where it's the character of whom is the spotlight it's the actor in this case and Glu did a great job"
7:)The Homosexual Sub-text
"This film is a very intelligent film for adding some subtext to it's story instead of being a dull brainless slasher film"
8:)Freddy's Defeat
"Just like the empowering death of Freddy as seen in the original this one is just as equal with love being the factor that will kill the evil good stuff"
9:)The Weird Out of Place scenes
"The gay bar,the exploding bird, & etc, make this one hell of a fun package in this department"

Overall Elm Street 2 kicks ass I give it a 10/10 see you next time with Elm Street 3.
