Does Ken Call Cheryl Mom In The Beginning?

If so why? My Grandparents used to call each other Mom and Dad but they were older.

Ken and Cheryl were 'older' too. Both of them were probably over 50 in 1985.

It's just weird that they have a teenager and a little kid and he's calling her mom

Ya, Cheryl was 52 when it was made, making her 36 when she had Jesse, and maybe 40 when she had the little girl.
So, not that old.
