To some up this movie I would say.......

The not-inconsiderable talents of Spader and Eric Stoltz, who plays Abby's love interest (a grossly under-utilized character), are completely wasted.
As for the lead actors, this film did irreparable damage to Loughlin's big screen career, and Presby was not heard from again.

I guess that "somes" it up pretty well.

But really, Spader was utilized fairly well. He played a great *beep*

Perfect answer!

I actually liked the movie a lot. Never got to see it back in the 80s...

It's a typical eighties exploitation b-movie that found a ready audience with the few remaining grind houses that were around at the time. My guess is it made a quick small profit and then was pulled or shown as a second feature in the same grind houses. I speak from experience, I've seen literally hundreds of these films during the eighties.

The actors involved probably thought it would lead to better things and for the main part in didn't. For the more famous actors and actresses, it was a quick paycheck. I'm sure before the Internet and IMDb came along, they made sure to leave this title off of their resumes.

This was never a "grindhouse" movie... it was just one of those movies that ended up on HBO or Showtime that impressionable teenagers at the time such as myself found to be more exciting than our so called day-to-day lives. Lori Loughlin was coming off of a major role on the soap "The Edge of Night" and it is really sad she never found her niche in the movies or even night time t.v. Shannon Presby seemingly chose to get out of the business.

Lori Loughlin did okay. She was really good in Secret Admirer with C.Thomas Howell and Kelly Preston. She also went on to Full House as well.

Presby didn't have much of a career to begin with. Loughlin has been on television forever and shows no signs of slowing down. As do the guys that play Gideon & Joe Bob. Spader did this movie & Tuff Turf at the same time and showed great variety playing the villain in one and the new kid himself in the other. This is one of my all time faves.

as if she needed a big screen career. She ended up with that Full House money.
