The whole film is lacking class. Mostly terrible actors. If it made many Americans want to stay at home to vacation I totally understand. A nice little role from Eric Idle but Lipman is beyond desperate, Smith tackier than a nail. Deliberate I know but so broad and ugly a film. And yes, the new Vacation was far more enjoyable than the rushed-feeling sequel that was European.

I realize I'm in the minority in that I not only love European - it's my favorite - but consider Christmas the least appealing of the first three films.
shareIt feels like the K-Mart version of the first movie. It's not that incredibly funny and everything feels generic all the way down to the music.
