Does anyone else like the Nerdy Girl?
I think she's cute (er at least she was back then) and she's my age too.. I wonder what she looks like now?
shareI think she's cute (er at least she was back then) and she's my age too.. I wonder what she looks like now?
shareI spoke to her at the NYTIMES call center when I was working there
shareI always thought she was HOT! I have always liked glasses on girls anyway. The conservetive look always did it for me.
shareI like her clothes what about you fallout? Do you dig the clothes she wears? Anyways all the others decided to turn this movie into discussion on old cars. Like who cares.
shareTo be honest I really don't recall what she wears. It's been a couple years since I last watched this movie. I do think that she is hot though. Just the type of girl I would go for.
shareI spoke to her that the NYtimes. SHe doesn't act anymore. I should have found out what she does for a living
shareBy the way, my wife has been wearing the stretch pants a lot lately. I just got her 2 new pairs. I also got her a hot pair of Chic brand jeans last week. Chic still has the 80's cut jeans. If you would like I can try and send a couple pics. Let me know. Tops can be optional.
sharereally where did you get them? I didn't think they made those designer jeans anymore. Chic is those really tight ass straight leg pants, right.
shareYep, that's them. We got them at Kmart. They are very tight and tapered nice and small at the ankle.
sharehey do you know if Kmart is selling men's Lycra shorts
I like Ellie too! I always loved the way she smiled bashfully at Michael. You could tell she had a thing for Mike and Mike had a thing for her too. Love doesn't really blossom until close to the middle of the movie.
shareI used to work at the NYtimes call center and I actually spoke with her on the phone. She doesn't sound like that shy, insecure girl in the movie. She says she doesn't act anymore. She also said that a soundtrack wasn't released for this movie. She lives in L.A. now.

Yeah I wish girls today dressed like that. She wore staight leg jeans which I don't see many girls wearing nowadays.
shareYeah....I just watched this movie and she's damn cute. I can't believe I never noticed that she is the same girl that played Richie Valens' girlfriend Donna in La Bamba. I've seen both movies several times. I also never realized that the kid who played Mike Harlen was the guy who played Cougar in Top Gun. I must be losing it. But oh well, great flick. One of a few from the 80's that I go back and watch to feel nostalgic.
sharethe 80s had better everything compared to the other decades even today.
share80's movies were definitely the best of any decade. But as far as music, fashion, hairstyles, and most other facets of popular culture are concerned the 80's sucked bigtime. But it had, by far, the best kids movies of all time.
shareyou're obviously not old enough to remember the 80s. The 80s had awesome fashions. They had straight leg clothing versus ugly flare pants girls wear today. Which is better. I would say straight leg clothing which was sported in the 80s.
shareYou're pretty much right. I was born in 82' so I don't remember a great deal of it personally, but I am familiar with the culture. To each his/her own I guess. I do agree that modern "popular" fashions aren't that great either.
shareThe new "skinny" jeans and stretch leggings are gonna make women look hot again.
shareI see some women now wearing the stretched leggings and when I was in Macys I saw them on dispaly on a mannequin.
shareAwesome, aint it!?
shareDanielle is totally hot... full on hot... kiln hot... white hot. She's a babe, babe-a-licious, babe-tastic. She never did a nude scene, but she did do a bra scene in Living In Oblivion, and a non-nude sex scene in the same movie. I so wish she had stayed in film and gotten the recognition she deserved.
"...nothing is left of me, each time I see her..." - Catullus
Eh, no. Although she is cute, it's kind of an awkward situation actually. The first time I saw this movie was with my parents when I was 7 or 8 years old. You see, Danielle von Zerneck looked a lot like my mom when she was that age. My mom and dad both, (especially my dad), made the comment as we watched the movie for the first time about how much she resembled my mom. And indeed, she does.
It's funny too because Jonathan Stockwell also vaguely looked like my dad did. Especially the tan and the hair and thin build.
I just got this movie the week before last.
She was kinda cute I guess, not exactly my dream girl.
