Furious with stations

I am furious with WE which just aired this movie! The beautiful song at the end was eliminated with the credits all smashed at the bottom so they could advertise some stupid show that they had been advertising all through the viewing on every commercial. Money-making is the name of the game and I should have known better than to watch anything I like, on that network. I plan on emailing them and letting them know. This is one network that keeps the entire movie, but eliminates the lovely music at the end. Ratz!!!

I hate that too. All the stations are doing it. I like "Charmed" and it has this kick-ass song at the intro. TNT chopped the intro down to about 10-20 seconds to make more commercial time. So the intro is tiny and the song just sounds chopped up. Also, some stations like Bravo and WE totally mutilate movies before airing them. They cut many important lines and scenes, not just to "clean it up" for the tv audience but to simply make room for more commercials. Aaaargh!

Advertising has gone completely out of control in recent years. I remember the late 50's when ads only ran for 1 minute and there were about 3 in a half-hour program. Also you got to read the credits and hear the entire theme music without interruptions. Politicians - HELP!

The people with the money rule everything. Glad to have taped it years ago in the 70's, when they were still running credits and closing music. Far too many ads these days and I rarely patronize those that do such a mess with the movies they sponsor. (Might be good to let them know what you think)
