The song 'Love For the Last Time'

Maybe someone can help me out here. I'm trying to locate the song "Love For the Last Time" by Carole King. I am willing to purchase it, if there is a place to download the song?? It was the theme song for the movie Murphy's Romance. You would think they would have made a soundtrack of the movie.

reply

I know what you mean. You would think that there would have been a soundtrack released. The music is so fabulous; I love it!! I would love to know the answer to that, as well.

If you recall, the movie A League of Their Own, the theme song was also sung by Carole King "Now and Forever", you can get this song on one of her CD's. Like I said before, I really liked the theme song from Murphy's Romance.

I too, would have loved a soundtrack...Do you ever locate this song?
Thanks!!!

hi, i also have been looking for this song & can,t find it anywhere to download! any chance you,ve found it yet?

reply

I have searched and searched and can't find "Love For the Last Time" anywhere. If anyone finds it please post information. I would think a soundtrack would have been done. Frustrating isn't it?

reply

Limewire... it is a share ware downloading site... Search for Carole King, "Love for the Last Time" pops up sometimes as being a shareware file. I downloaded it to ITunes and cannot stop playing it! Goodluck!!!

reply

It's possible that what you downloaded was the song ripped from the movie dvd. The last I heard and that was several years ago, that that song and the rest of the sound track were never released. What a shame. But take what you can get. we just got the DVD and will probably record all the songs . Quality is not as necessary for me as sentiment.

reply

You are correct. Several years ago, the Carole King site stated that she and David Sanborn, co-listed with her in the credits, chose not to record the song on either of their individual albums or in a soundtrack. At the time, the web site official response was that if you purchased the VCR/DVD, you could pull the music track off for personal use. They said inspite of the requests, it would probably never be released as a soundtrack or CD.

reply

I think it's interesting that at the dance the band was playing an instrumental version of John Denver's "Today." Yet, there is no acknowledgement of that in the credits.

Quite a few years ago, I used to copy songs and shows with my cassette recorder and then play them back, using my memory to see the action. Anyway....I copied that song from the ending of the movie. Great song!!! Thanks for the online site. I have a daughter who can pick it up for me.

Is it possible for you to e-mail me the song. I'm assuming you converted to mp3?

Thanks

Hi I was wondering if you could email me the song too. I have a mac, so I am unable to download limewire, and I don't want to download it for just one song. Thanks.

two and then some years later... i am having the same problem... does anybody still have a copy of this song/soundtrack? itunes doesn't seem to, and neither does amazon... thanks!

I know this post is TEN YEARS old but I'll post this here in case anyone else is looking for it.

I just posted Love For The Last Time on Youtube - just the audio recorded from the end of the movie. Hopefully it won't get taken down for copyright infringement since I couldn't find it in any form - video, audio, legal, illegal - online.

And if anyone wants it in MP3 form I've put it on my Google Drive here:

If anything happens to that link there are plenty of websites that will rip audio from YouTube for you :)

Thank you for this!! I had looked for this before, but thought I'd look again today :) I couldn't believe someone put it on where within the last 2 weeks!! I had looked for sheet music, but playing this and figuring out the chords will be the best I can do.
