R.I.P. Corey Haim

I can't believe no mention of Corey. I've been watching all of his movies, & I thought he gave a very wonderfully nuanced performance as Sally's young son adjusting to life in a small town. What a great little actor he was in this movie!

Rest Peacefully Sweet Corey

“I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?”
- Dr. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed..D.

I couldn't have put it better.

I'm curious why they get involved in drugs in the first place. It makes no sense.

Yeah he's a good one to quote right now.

Well said, there.

Yes, you could have.

Did Cosby say that after or before he said "I didn't drug and rape 55 women"?

Both your and his credibility out the window.

Excellent reply. Oddly enough, Corey was molested as a child by someone a very powerful Hollywood player (or more accurately pedophile). He kept that secret to himself for many, many years, which contributed to his drug use and instability.

Poor young man, I hope he gets justice someday and is resting in peace.

@kaneforgov-- I also agree. A disease is something that can/cannot be treated to an extent. You can live or die with it..it's your choice. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I'm doing my best. You can be born with a disease or it can develop later on. Plus there is not 1 disease that any one person alive, that I know, who would choose to have a disease. DRUGS IS NOT A DISEASE..ITS A CHOICE! it's a shame that he got caught up in that world, but it was HIS choice
I also liked him in his movies. The one and only true cure is --DONT START IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

Ignoring all the unnecessary posts about drug use. 

Yes, Corey Haim was wonderful! I think this was my first time watching one of his films full length. I didn't even recognize him at first! I was very impressed by his performance.

I loved his character as well, so down to earth and likable. I shudder to think how his character would've been written today...
