I'd Love To Have That Motor Home Spacecraft!
What would you bring along in a craft like that, on a ride through space? And if you could bring three people along, who would you bring? Animals wouldn't count as passengers, you could bring as many pets as you'd like in addition to the people! Myself, I'd bring along: all my pets; my sister's pets; my family (there are four of us, very convenient!); a reliable space suit, rocket belt and rocket-cycle for exploration; an IMAX movie camera (I could make a fortune back on Earth selling films of space!); a regular camcorder for a regular documentary (I'd sell the rights to that, too!); my TV/DVD/VHS player (with hundreds of movies and TV shows), my radio, and my computer (I wonder how the reception would be on these, way out in space?); a huge freezer (that could go in the trailer) with all my favorite foods (for example: all kinds of ice cream, Jello, sand pudding; all kinds of cakes, pies and cookies; plenty of bread, butter, condiments, and cold cuts; pizza of every description; roast beef with Yorkshire pudding; braised beef liver and kidney; my mother's chili, beef stew, chicken soup, spaghetti and meatballs, spareribs with potatoes, eggplant parmigiana, and Impossible Pie; prepackaged fish fries and fast-food favorites; and food for the pets, of course!); my CD player and about 500 CDs of albums from the 1960s and 70s; an above-deck pool and lounge chairs for some *really close-up* sunbathing (what a tan you'd get! Or would you?); a whole library full of my favorite books (that could go in the trailer with the freezer); and an electric guitar with massive outside-the-craft amplifiers, just to give SETI a real turn!! How about you?
