Soundtrack?

Anybody have a drop on how and where to get my hands on the soundtrack? God loves Thomas Newmann! I've heard there's a combo-soundtrack with this and "Gung-Ho." Anyone? Bueller?

if you're savvy with P2P you should find it.

I'm looking for it, too. Specifically the piece played by Tom on the violin. I've interneted everywhere, saw a few references to an "unofficial release", but still haven't found anything.

Any idea why Newman will not release it? I would think it would be a hot item for us music lovers.

I would love to have the soundtrack to this. IMO it's one of the best soundtracks from an 80's movie.

There is a combo score cd that is ultra rare and expensive available from England and it is awesome but I was dissapointed it had only 70% of the actual score used in the film actually on the cd. There are a few pieces of score in the film that are not on the cd; the end theme, the final chase music and the great theme used in the airport where Ed Hermann is picking the the man with one red shoe. Those are the most notable pieces missing form the score cd. There are a few added themes that are on the score cd that were not part of the final score used in the film. I can only surmise that these themes were rejected from the final score used in the film, and the themes we hear in the final cut of the film were composed and added towards the end of filming and the final mixing, editing and scoring of the film. Gee could I sound more pretentious? Could I say "film" just one more time? Still, if you love Thomas Newman's music it's worth the effort to find and purchase.

The score for the man with one red shoe is one of my all time favorites. I would love to know where I can get a copy of this cd even if it isn't the complete score.

I haven't seen this movie in many years, but I think at least one piece of instrumental music sounds a lot like the beginning of Steely Dan's FM.

If anyone's still interested, the theme music (not the violin composition) reminds me a lot of the soundtrack from the movie Sneakers.

The soundtrack for 'The Man With One Red Shoe' is now very difficult to find. If anyone wants a copy drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I will get it to you.

Cheers for now.
