Back to the Future

This may be a strange one, but am I the only one who was reminded of Back to the Future at the start of this film? The movie opens up with no music and pans around their house slowly as a radio plays. The font for the credits was the same as well. Add some clocks and gadgets and you have Back to the Future.

I wonder if it was just an aesthetic thing for that time. Both movies came out in the same year.
