Near the end of the film Jody Varner (William Russ) starts the "Old Frenchman's" house on fire in an effort to vanquish Ben Quick (Don Johnson). While the two men fight amidst the flames, a burning timber falls from the ceiling to reveal a stash of paper money and gold coins supposedly hidden during the Civil War.
