After Multiple Multiple Viewings ............

Like many here, i first saw this movie as a kid, definitely in my Top 5 ever. I love everything about it including all the cheese and corn

I rewatch the movie, every couple of years, so happy to finally get a HD version ! (web download)

I guess as a kid and for many viewings after, it was the martial arts, Shonuff and the action which i focused on more.

Now i really notice the relationships, the subtleties in the acting etc

Taimak is so good as an love clueless innocent and his scenes with Vanity show really good onscreen chemistry between them. Now by the time i get to the end of the movie, i usually have a tear as the classic "Ferris Wheel" love song starts playing

The casting is flawless, not one actor or character is out of place. I used to think it a bit weird that Ritchie would talk like he was so sexually experienced at what 13 or 14 years old, but now i think it's a interesting and funny casting choice.

The only thing i would like to movie to have is just slightly harder hitting fight scenes. It was all too clear contact wasn't being made, just needed more of a edge, not ultra violent or anything like that, ust a bit harder hitting

The soundtrack is masterfull, it truly is, from Saki to me, i saki to you, to the many other great songs, both specially written for the movie and otherwise

... all the cheese and corn
Just overwhelming for me!
... the subtleties in the acting ...
Wow! I've seen more convincing acting in high school plays.
The casting is flawless ...
Clever having 2 single name actors at the top of the cast list.🐭
