STILL THE BEST INDY RIPOFF...PERIOD

and the only one?

Not only the best movie made after the Indiana Jones/Adventure-Serial Genre became once again popular, but also it's better than the final two Indiana Jones movies.

Hahahahahahahaha.

To say this is better than The Last Crusade or even the lacklustre Crystal Skull is laughable.

King Solomon's Mines really blows like nearly all Golan-Globus productions did. It's only entertaining to laugh at rather than with in a it's so bad it's almost good kind of way.

Oh please..no way

There was The Mummy (1999) too, which wasn't any worse than this. The sequels were worse.

Although not a ripoff, just something similar, Romancing the Stone (1984) was also done because of Indiana Jones. Jackie Chan's Amour of God I-II (1987-90) as well, but those are really for an acquired taste.

Better than Last Crusade? Get a life. The relationship between Indy and his dad is what makes that film brilliant.

STFU Tool !! Last Crapade is a borefest

If QT take inspiration,it's called homage,if everyone else do the same,it's called rip-off

I agree this is the best rip off of the indy movies although I hate city of gold though

saying that my overall fav adventure movies are romancing the stone and jewel of the nile although they are not like the indie movies

Actually Indiana Jones ripped off this movie series ! King Solomon's Mines is a very old movie franchise. It all started in 1937.

Indiana Jones ripped off this movie series

... or you could say that Indy very much was inspired by this book and others from the same writer. And there many other inspirations as well.

But yes, this film was based on a book that's much older than the first Indy film. However, I think it's safe to say that Hollywood re-made this more modern version of it *because* of the success of the Indy films. It's also likely that writing and production was influenced from Indy.

But it's still a stinker. I give it 4/10.

I consider Treasure of the Four Crowns an Indy ripoff and it may actually be worse than this crapfest.

Hunters of the Golden Cobra (1982) is my favorite Indy rip off, Italian style staring David Warbeck.
