I haven't found anything on the net about this. Do you know anything else about it? Is it Ridley Scott?

They should do a film of Joseph Heller's "God Knows". Not only would it be hilarious, but it would make the whole epic tale of King David and the Old Testament accessable to a new generation.

It would be good to see a remake of this story. It gets remade about every 20 years so it is a bit overdue. I liked Gregory Peck's David and Bathsheba better. I know dramatic license is taken with a lot of historical stories but I hope they can stay as true to the Bible story as possible. David was not a perfect man and both sides of him should be shown but he clearly was a righteous man. A fact that is clear but gets overlooked is that as clear as it is that God had given up on Saul as King, Saul never turned to idolatry and was seeking God until he died. God will have to be the judge of Saul because he was also a complicated person.
