I'd like to see a remake

Who agrees?

Maybe with Robert Zemeckis helming?

Everyone wants to see a remake of everything. Usually movies are better the first time around. Why does everyone think newer is better? It's time Hollywood started coming up with original ideas instead of rehashing everything from the past.

1. i would agree to a remake if the original was for sale in widescreen. But remaking a movie that is only available in crappy pan and scan is so so disrespectful.

2. Zemeckis is a great director and story teller, it is a shame he is doing remakes not not original stories. leave remakes to hack directors..

I would like to see a remake simply to re-introduce this story to the new generation. No one I know seems to know this movie at all and it is one of my faves. Don't know who could replace the actors though, it would probably be dissapointed.

There is no reason to remake this movie, not just because it was perfect in form, but because it already took place in the 1930s, so there's nothing about it that needs updating.
