Stolen Dog

Here's a question that's been eating my mind ever since Natty Gann came out in France when I was 12 years old. I must have seen the movie the day it came out because I was already familiar with it when they were still promoting it in the country. The dog was apparently present for all the promotion and I heard on the radio news one day that as the crew was touring with the dog, he was stolen from a car parked outside the Moulin Rouge in Paris one night, while the people he was traveling with were inside. At that time the news were a big emotional trauma for me. I listened to the radio for many days afterwards trying to know if they had found the dog but never heard any kind of followup. It still nags me and when I discovered IMDB, one of the first things I did was look up the dog's name and hyperlink it to other movies as a way of reassuring myself that at some point, the dog was OK. Apparently he was the one playing White Fang but I still have so many questions about the incident and what happened afterwars. Has anyone around here ever heard about it? Is it really the same dog in White Fang? Funny how some piece of information can still mark some kid's mind after so many years...

I agree, he lived from 77 to 95

A dog who became 18 years old? That's a very rare thing! But I'm glad he got found after the Moulin Rouge incident.
