My Fave Jackie Chan Fight Scene...(spoilers)

Without a doubt, the last 10 minutes of Police Story is my all time favorite fight scene, and that isn't just Jackie Chan movies, either. Bruce Lee certainly has some awesome fight scenes, and Jackie has many, many fight scenes in other movies that are just unbelievably good, but the fight in the shopping mall is just awesome.

I like the intensity and the ferocity of this fight. Ku makes a really great "bad guy" and Jackie's uncontrollable rage against him and his gang of thugs makes this even more enjoyable to watch. Jackie will do absolutely ANYTHING to stop them, including jumping onto a pole and sliding down 2-3 stories and crashing down at the end to get them in the end.

Many of Jackie's fights are played for laughs where he doesn't really hurt his opponents (many just disappear off the screen) Or in others, like the famous (and great) stepladder fight in Jackie Chan's First Strike merely end up with him being overcome at the end. In this fight though, these combatants are hurt pretty bad, and in many cases, for real. They are down for the count and likely not getting up for a long, long time!! This is more like a "Bruce Lee" type of fight in it's viciousness, but when you add the awesome stunts that Jackie mixes in, it makes this fight VERY cool and amazing to watch!!

I do not know if we will ever see another movie with this much over the top fight scenes and stunts ever again and if there is, I will be the first in line to buy a ticket to it.
