Canadian TV showing taped?

Did anyone in Canada videotape this in the 1980s? I saw the full edition of 3:16 at night in Winnipeg. The US showing apparently was cut to 3:07 and that was the basis for the 1996 Anchor Bay videotape release. They thought it was complete uncut.
The current reissue cuts another half hour.
