Worst Trial Procedure Ever

The sloppiest Law & Order episode ever written was ten times better at showing authentic criminal trial procedure than this ridiculous mess. Surprise witnesses showing up, attorneys dropping by the judge's house, hearsay all over the place, gasping outraged objections to questions about bondage sex and the word "bitch," etc, etc, etc.

Never mind Glenn Close going catatonic in court when her lover-client's affair is revealed, getting hysterical on the rooftop and crying about how she'll drop the case. She's supposed to be a top notch trial attorney?

Feh.

It's "meh" NOT "feh".

reply

Feh, meh, deh, peh... whatever. The OP is right

reply

They don't even read the charges at the verdict, say the defendents name etc.

Just "not guilty", everyone leaves.

So dumb.

reply

So true. And also, wouldn't they have searched his house after he was arrested?

reply

i'd say the same screenwriter topped himself with 'Jade'. Imagine Jagged Edge, but with lesser actors.
