Can you really fire two UZIs?

I always wondered about this. I know a guy who once owned a full auto Mac 11 and he said it was very difficult to control. He had to hold the gun sideways, one hand on the grip and the other on the magazine. He would point slightly left and hold the trigger so the recoil would make him move right to increase his chances of hitting the beer bottles. Is it possible for someone of Hunter's height/weight to fire two UZIs or Mac 11s without showing any loss of balance? BTW: Chuck Norris doesn't need to pull the trigger to fire a gun. Why? The bullets are afraid of Chuck Norris!

I'm not entirely sure, but here's a story I heard that makes me think you cannot: A guy is firing an Uzi at a range and is holding it low, around hip level. He pulls the trigger and the recoil is so fast and strong that the gun ends up pointing upward and blows off his jaw.

The kick on those things looks very difficult to control, so two at once seems implausible. Hope that helps.

This could be tested on Mythbusters you know for them to try to see if it can be done or not.

As someone who has fired a fully automatic uzi, I can say that it would be possible, but difficult. If you had micro-uzis on dual shoulder straps, as Chuck does, it'd be easier than with full sized ones in some ways (they'd be easier to keep level) but harder in others (since they weigh so little, you would have to be the one compensating for the weight instead of the gun).

On a side note, I think some exaggerate how hard it is to control an uzi. At 50 feet I found it easy to place 3 or 4 shot bursts in human silhouette target, torso and pretty close to center mass. Granted, this was with the stock, but even without it it wasn't THAT bad. I was actually quite impressed with the Uzi. Cool gun. Too bad they cost like $8000+ now...

You also wouldn't fall over from the recoil of firing two of these guns. Your accuracy would just be terrible.

I swore he used Mac 10's for this. Also, remember how big regular Uzis are.

Micro uzis do resemble MACs, so I can see why you'd remember it that way. But nope, they're micro uzis - which are really tiny things.

That's a micro uzi (despite the image name).

Compare it to the MAC10.

Could just be that I hadn't sen it in at least 12 years. Thanks.

"YOU" perhaps not.

BUT

CHUCK NORRIS can.

Chuck Norris can.

the simple answer is... chuck norris CAN believe it's not butter.
the not-so-simple answer is...
how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck norris? all of it.

Chuck Norris can fire two miniguns simultaneously. And make coffee at the same time.

The mini-Uzis may control completely differently than the Mac 11.

A Mac 10 could be chambered in .45 or 9mm, the .45 would probably have a ton of recoil, and the 9mm wouldn't be far behind. The Mac 11s are in .380, and are going to have less recoil.

The Micro-Uzi uses 9mm rounds, and will have more recoil than a Mac 11, but the shoulder straps may help quite a bit.

I have fired 2 different 9mm semi-auto pistols that handled quite differently. My Ruger P-89 had quite a bit of kick, but a Beretta 92 I tried felt as smooth as butter. I don't think it had a compensator on it, it was just designed to eliminate recoil better, I guess.

If the Beretta had been a full-auto version, I'm sure I could have placed most of the magazine in a human-sized target.

In that scene his micro UZI's are strapped to his shoulders so whereas it might not have been the most accurate, he would at least be able to brace the guns away from himself and bear the weight of his shoulders and elbows against the recoil to keep them jarring out of control. Notice how the shoulder straps don't hang slack while he shoots next time you see it

Well, Chuck Norris did once shoot down a plane by pointing at it with his fingers and shouting, "BANG".

"Some men are coming to kill us. We're gonna kill them first."

reply

Yeah, I heard that about him.

Uzis are pretty bad weapons, that is why even Israel doesn't use them now. Of course they remain popular in Hollywood, since that is run by Jews. In the real world better guns are used.

reply

Because of Jews? Lol, that's pretty damn daft. They remain popular because they're cool and extremely iconic.

In 1985, the Uzi (and Mini and Micro) were still the kings of submachine guns in Hollywood, along with the MAC-10. After Predator and Die Hard, everyone had to have an MP5, then Die Hard 2 and Lethal Weapon 2 brought out the MP5K.
