Raymond Hatch the real murderer in this story was sentenced to 26 years in prison for this heinous murder of which he only served THIRTEEN years and was released. Once free nobody knows how much crime he committed, though he was arrested for stabbing his girlfriend for which he served NINE MONTHS in jail. Upon release he resumed his drifting and life of crime till he died in 2000 (for which we can be thankful). Death penalty. YES.
