This misinformation was begun years ago by someone who erroneously added him to the IMDB. There is an actor in the movie "Edward Farrelly" who bears more than a passing resemblance to Weaving, but that's all it is.
Similarly, a lot of people thought Jon Pertwee had a small uncredited cameo in the 1984 movie "The Ice Pirates" but the actor was merely lookalike (and credited) actor Steffen Zacharias.
