So what happens to him??? (possible spoiler)

I have a video of Hostage Flight which I taped when the movie aired. Obviously, the ending is the part where 2 of the terrorists get wasted and so does the policeman. But the biggest question is, what happens to the main terrorist? The one who does the actual murdering of those 2 hostages? Not only that, but he commits a near-graphic rape of a young female passenger! After all, he was the main villain of the movie, and you would think he would be getting what he deserves. But in the end, he's simply tied to his seat and staring straight ahead.
Anyone have a clue what happens to him next? Does he go to prison? Does he get executed? Or does he somehow walk free?

reply

Well, the idea was that they turned him over to the police when they landed in London and decided to "trust the system" as DiSalvio said. Hopefully, he would be executed along with Nasif (his leader that they were trying to get out by hijacking the plane to begin with). Yes, we don't see what happens next but we know that the passengers at least played fair with him and gave him a trial rather than just execute him and therefore be no better than he was if they had just killed him then and there.

They should burn him alive, that inhuman monster! He deserves a very slow and painful death.

reply

Well, hopefully, that will happen. We don't see it because that isn't the important part of the story.

reply

just as long as the bad guy gets what's coming to him, that's important!

I haven't seen this movie in a long time but want to get it on DVD. I do remember when the passengers attack the terrorists the guy who played the lead terrorist is the same actor that played a Libyan in the pilot of Airwolf. I clearly remember the black guy wrapping a seatbelt around his fist with the buckle in the front and then attacking the leader by beating his face in with the belt buckle! I can't imagine how something like that would not only hurt like crazy but shattering bones in the guy's face! Oh well as they say live by the sword die by the sword! Also I laughed when the female terrorist is screaming when the passengers start going after the terrorists. Funny, here she was calm and collected about killing innocent people but when the shoe's on the other foot she cries like a baby! Again an underrated movie that should be more available than it is.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, maybe I will do that.

No, Bart Cooper (the black guy) uses the seatbelt on Rune, not the leader. He gets the hot coffee thrown in his face by the woman he just attacked and left unconscious, or so he thought. And as for the woman, she only screamed when she opened the door to admit Bradigan, or so she thought. He was really dead and propped up by DiSalvio and Cooper in an attempt to get into the cockpit and overpower the last terrorist. She was surprised and didn't expect the passengers to fight back. I don't remember her crying like a baby.

That blonde was just one nasty-ass bitch who loves nothing more than watching people suffer and die. She's cold blooded, she'd never cry.

LOL, I haven't seen it in a long time but I do remember that beating with the belt! I do remember the female terrorist clamping her hands on her ears and crying like a baby. I know it's been a while since I've seen the film but that I do remember well.

In the original movie;(shown overseas) the passengers hung the terrorists(vigilante justice); the censor required ending shown in America is what everybody is commenting on; by the way, this movie just became available from WB Archives. Since 9/11; I doubt the censors-if they still exist- would have any qualms about the original ending.

Maybe you have that mixed up with Delta Force, where a hostage is being tortured on the plane?
